Pompey have made a double signing this afternoon with a view to boosting their squad and getting some form back on track.
The Blues have signed goalkeeper, Trevor Carson, on-loan from Bury on a three-month loan-deal. Carson has played five out of 12 of Bury’s opening games, conceding seven goals.
Pompey have also signed up a familiar face with signing Therry Racon on a one-month deal.
Racon was previously on loan at Pompey last season from Millwall, but following his contract expiring at the New Den, Racon has returned on a short deal as he looks to impress Whittingham in his second Fratton spell.
25-year-old Carson seems to be a promising keeper who came through the ranks at Sunderland. It appears he was wanted by a number of clubs during the summer but his steep wages at Bury meant that few clubs could compete with personal terms, but it appears Carson is willing to take a wage cut of some sort to come to a bigger club like Pompey.
And it looks like we may only have to wait until Saturday’s home game against Rochdale to see whether he’s any good or not.
