Jordan Obita’s Pompey loan spell has ended.
Reading had indicated they wanted the player to return to their club after this weekend following the culmination of his latest one month stay.
However, a death in Obita’s family has ruled him out of today’s visit of Shrewsbury to Fratton Park on compassionate grounds.
It means he has played his last game for the club and has now joined up with his parent club Reading.
It creates one spot in Pompey’s squad and manager Michael Appleton will seek to recruit a loan player after this weekend.
