News report Friday February 24, 2012
Ticket prices for tomorrow’s Fratton clash with Leeds have been slashed by £5 in a bid to ‘Pack the Park’.
Seats for the match – which kicks-off at 3pm – now cost £25 for adults, £17 for seniors (60+) and young persons (17-22) and £10 for juniors (under 17).
Tickets in the Family Enclosure – where adults must be accompanied by a junior – are just £20 for adults, £10 for seniors and young persons and £5 for juniors.
Trevor Birch, joint administrator and partner at PKF Accountants & business advisers, said: ‘Portsmouth Football Club needs the whole community to get behind it over the next few weeks and months.
‘There are nine home games to go before the end of season so let’s make every single one a sell out, starting with Leeds tomorrow.
‘We are doing all we can behind the scenes to make it more affordable and convenient to attend the games, so keep checking the website.
‘I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible tomorrow.’
You can help ‘Pack the Park’ by turning up to the ticket office – and come along between 3pm and 5pm this afternoon to see Pompey stars Liam Lawrence and Luke Varney helping to sell tickets.
Stephen Henderson had planned to be assisting his team mates, but due to a slight knock in training has been ordered not to attend.
For those who can’t make it today, don’t forget that tickets will be on sale from the kiosks – which open at 10.30am – behind the Fratton End on Saturday.
The club is waiving the £2 administration charge for tickets bought on the day of the game.
Tickets can also be bought online here (except in the Family Enclosure) or by calling 0844 847 1898 (option one). Seats can also be purchased from the megastore in Fratton Way and Cascades store.
If you have already bought a Leeds ticket, then you can instead claim a £5 discount for the Championship match against Birmingham at Fratton Park on Tuesday, March 20. To claim a discount you will need to purchase your seat at the ticket office between Monday, March 5 and Friday, March 9 and also present your Leeds ticket.
